Analysis Of The Leadership Style Of George Washington

A leader is someone who can inspire others to follow him. A leader is someone who has the ability to lead others. Trustworthiness is a key characteristic to being a leader. You must be visionary, able to see the big picture and know when to be gentle and when to be firm. You must be organized and capable of organizing other people. You must also be willing to take risks, but not in a reckless manner. Look at George Washington’s leadership style. He had all the characteristics I have just mentioned.

First, I will discuss why Washington was considered trustworthy. George Washington was a moral and ethical person, refusing to be tempted. Because of these qualities, people were more likely to follow Washington than to be compelled to. Visionary leaders are able to see into the future, create effective organizations, and attract others to pursue their vision. In this way, it becomes a shared vision. Each member of the team works together to sustain the vision, its beliefs, values, and vision. Washington was a visionary. He was able see the bigger picture and create a plan for action. It was his twentieth birthday and he began to travel for Boston on the twenty first. His character made him a popular choice. They believed they could trust him. His ideas on British and colonial Relations were not only well known, but were also shared by historians and commentators. They shared the same vision. Just three of Washington’s most significant ideas as a General. He had to win the war, regardless of how long it took. It was a war to gain independence and liberty. Third, it was an attempt to establish a republican government. The people would decide the form and ruling officers of this republic. Washington, more than any other person of that period, understood all the implications of these ideas concerning his military leadership functions – strategy and operations as well as tactics. As the Commander in Chief of United Colonies, he showed himself to be a genius leader.

George Washington was also considered a strong leader. His ability to bounce back from failure, i.e. Fort Necessity. He was also able, through hard work, to overcome many health problems including dysentery. Washington was a brilliant statesman and gained many supporters in politics. He was able to convince both the troops and politicians. There are many characteristics that make someone great, and George Washington’s style as a military leader is still an inspiration. I believe that a leader is someone who can be remembered and respected for their character over time.
